Before/After: Technicolour Film Mannequin/Stepford Wife

Remember the fab team I worked with for the Lana Del Ray shoot? Well after a few days I got to work with the fab stylist again and another fab team of photographer and hair stylist and we shot a look that was once again, simply amazing!

The location was at a location house hired for the day and there were so many incredible paintings, art and furniture in it that it was impossible not to be inspired! The shoot was to feature on the latest looks and hair maestro Heath saw an old painting of this woman in a green jumper and decided to use that as his inpiration.I wished I took a picture of the painting.

Well being the strange boy that I am, I decided that I wanted to create this bored slightly demented housewife from the the old movies but  make her fashionable and stunning still but also a little mannequin-like. Picture Faye Dunaway in Mummy Dearest, throw in a bit of Joan Crawford and think bright technicolour films when they first started doing films in colour and you might get the picture. Oh and don't forget abit of Valley Of The Dolls and Stepford Wives as well. You'll be forgiven if you don't, my mind works in strange ways.

Anyway meet Maja, oh gorgeous vivacious Maja.
Face Prep: Decléor Aroma Cleanse Cleansing Water, Decléor Life Radiance Double Radiance Cream, Shu Uemura Brightening UV Under Base Mousse, Decléor Nourishing Lip Balm.

This girl is so beautiful and young and bubbly. It was impossible to imagine her as a demented, beautiful, tormented retro housewife but she threw herself into that role as soon as she saw her reflection post makeup and hair! Let me show you how she looks in a pic I took of her while she was working!

And here's a close up of the very simple but effective eye.
So what do you think? Effective look? It's a very simple but great look, especially with Heath's amazing wig he created! I love it and hope you do too. As always comments are very much appreciated.
