Product Breakdown: Jenna Coleman at Cinderella London Premier

Working once again with one of my favourite people to be with, Jenna Coleman. I've had a lovely history with Jenna since meeting her when she played a maid in ITV's Titanic. Ever since we have played dress up and tried many looks and even travelled round the world with her!

A stunning to work with, it was easy this time as she got ready to walk the red carpet for the Cinderella Premier in London. George Northwood did the hair and we wanted something that would highlight her features without making too much of a fuss. No red lips, no big dramatic eyes, just effortless beauty.
Face Prep: Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution, Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream, Zelens The Balm.

Face: Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation in No 3 Fawn, Amazing Concealer in Light Golden.

Eyebrows: Estee Lauder Double Wear Brow Stay-In-Place Brow Lift Duo in Rich Brown, Eyeko Brow Gel.

Before/After: School Photo Geek Chic!

I apologise for the awkward title, I really struggled to find a better name for it. Anyway I posted an editorial update of my latest shoot in Stella Magazine and the inspiration for the look I came up with was simply the blotchy awkward flush one gets when embarrassed when taking school photos!

The clothes were about trousers and our gorgeous model had such a cool laid back coolness to her that I wanted to make her look like an awkward teen with overly shiny skin and blotchy skin. How to make all that look beautiful and transfer well onto a fashion shoot? Well it took some blending to come up with a shade of blush that looked natural and realistic. I didn't get many opportunities to take behind the scenes photos (it was a few days before X'mas) so here's what I managed! Hope you like it!
I didn't do a before shot but here's a relatively full frontal one that will do.

Skin Prep: Créme De La Mer The Cleansing Lotion, Créme De La Mer The Tonic, Créme De La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream, Créme De La Mer The Lip Balm.

Bearing in mind the inspiration for the look,  I still wanted the effect to be beautiful and look pretty on screen. So I had to tone down the shininess a bit so she didn't look too extreme!
Foundation: Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid in Nude Radiance, Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation, Burberry Sheer Concealer.
Eyes: Burberry Effortless Mascara in Midnight Brown, Burberry Lip Glow in Ice, Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in Pearl White.
Eyebrows: Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer.
Cheeks: I mixed a variety of lip colours from Burberry to achieve a shade I found suitable. Sorry I can't remember which ones! Have a look at the picture of my brush below. Burberry Fresh Glow in Nude Radiance.
Lips: Burberry Lip Velvet in Pink Apricot & Rose Pink, Sheer Eyeshadow in Pearl White.
Powder: Burberry Nude Powder in Porcelain.

Here's a few more close up shots to get a better idea from various angles.
And for the blush, here's my brush. I had to create a colour that I don't have in my kit and have never seen before so I mixed up a few different lipsticks to get my desired shade. It was a bit of a trial and error experiment!
What a nice way to end the year! Something fresh and fun and not to be taken seriously. What do you think? Something you could carry off? I'd love to hear from you. Happy 2015 everyone!

Editorial Update: Stella Magazine

Happy New Year everyone, bit late to the game as usual! Here's a new shoot to start 2015 for me! I hope you like it. I'll do a post about the look if I can find enough pictures taken behind the scenes! Till then enjoy!
